Footprints

Setting: Oak Hills near Frankford, Ontario

These ‘snow prints’ were created by my son and his buddy as they were venturing out to play on a nearby snow hill. I noticed the prints the day after the winter wind and a new dusting of snow smoothed them out. I was drawn to the direction of the prints that went around the fragile tree, being careful not to disturb it. Sometimes we’re just protective by nature.
